A Message from Tabitha Jensen: Farewell to Teen Feed
Dear Teen Feed Partners and Friends,
It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that I am departing from Teen Feed. After much consideration, my partner and I have made the decision to move home to Portland, Oregon this summer to be closer to our families.
This was a difficult decision to make. Over the last 2 1/2 years, I have deeply enjoyed building relationships with you – the community members so passionately dedicated to improve the dignity and quality of life for homeless and street involved youth in Seattle and King County. To Teen Feed’s committed volunteers providing family-like experience for youth, dedicated youth service provider partners, and the generous community of donors and funding partners, I say THANK YOU for your commitment to the incredible young people at Teen Feed and in our communities.
Over the coming weeks, the Teen Feed Board of Directors will be working to identify an experienced Interim Executive Director to guide Teen Feed into its next stage of organizational growth and strategic planning in providing for youth in need. During this transition and beyond, Teen Feed’s youth-focused programming, dedicated staff, and community volunteers will continue to transform the lives of youth as it has consistently since 1987.
I hope you will stay in touch. I can be reached at tabitha.jensen@gmail.com. Should you have any questions related to Teen Feed, please reach Suzanne Sullivan, Director of Development and Communications at suzanne@teenfeed.org or 206.949.1092.
With hope and respect,
Tabitha Jensen
